A nebulizer turns prescribed liquid medication into an aerosol for inhalation. It does not choose the medicine, dose or treatment frequency, and it is not a substitute for an oxygen concentrator.
Start with the prescribed medication and nebulizer type
Confirm that the prescribed formulation is intended for nebulization and that the device/nebulizer cup is suitable. Compressor nebulizers are common for home use, while other technologies may have different medication restrictions and cleaning requirements.
Useful buying criteria
- Manufacturer-stated nebulization system and medication compatibility
- Treatment time and residual volume specifications
- Noise and portability
- Availability of cups, tubing, masks and mouthpieces
- Cleaning/disinfection instructions
- Warranty and local service

Browse current nebulizers. Do not select a nebulizer by price alone if replacement accessories or service are difficult to obtain.
